Our Company: I grew up with a passion of growing foods and herbs from our garden without chemicals and pesticides. We have always used organic fertilizers right from the farm; cow and chicken manure as well as mushroom compost. Canning our own wholesome produce every fall gave us the foundation for creating natural bath and body products that we believe is just as nourtishing and healthy to our skin as well as the environment and ecosystems worldwide. My name is Linda Watt, and Willame Valley Handmade Soaps is my passion and creation. Although our company is young, founded in 2006, it is built on a long time dream and much research. We continue to pursue this passion and guarantee to our customers the same outstanding quality, earth centered philosophy and ethical business practices. While we are ever so thankful for our growing sucess we never plan on expanding into a large corporation. It is important for us to make the best products we can in small batches by hand to sustain high standards, quality and freshness. Homemade Soap: a healthy treat for your skin
We understand the importance of selecting only the finest ingredients available to handcraft our soaps. Willame Valley Handmade Soaps are created using the highest quality oils: olive, palm, palm kernel, coconut, canola, caster, safflower, soybean and coconut oils. Other specialty oils we commonly use in our to enrich our finished products are vitamin E, emu oil, aloe vera, kukui nut, rice bran, rose hip, avocado, macadamia, sweet almond, evening prim rose, and jojoba oils. Our 'cold process' handmade soaps retain the precious naturally-occuring glycrin (a natural by-product of the soapmaking process which is released when the oils and lye saponify) that makes the soap mild and wonderfully luxurious. This glycerin is usually extracted by commercial soap manufactures because it is a valuable commodity that can be sold to cosmetic companies for a profit. Glycerin is a humectant, which attracts moisture to the skin leaving it silky, smooth and moisturized. Each batch is hand measured, hand stirred, hand poured, hand cut and hand wrapped. We do use some animal oils and animal products (beeswax, milks and emu oil) as well as fragrance oils and pigments in some of our soaps. We have added descriptions so you know exactly what you are getting before you purchase it.
Our soaps are scented with exquisite combinations of the finest plant-derived essentional oils, fragrance oils or no scent at all. The properties of essential oils have been recognized by many cultures and are credited with therapeutic effects, including tention, relaxation, stimulating circulation and insomnia.
We mix in 'good for you' skin additives and ingredients such as: shea, cocoa, mango, almond, aloe and macadamia butters, honey and milk for conditioning and moisturizing wrinkles and to sooth dry irritated skin; we use oatmeal, cormeal, vanilla bean, ground eucaliptus and peppermint leaves, lavender buds, rose, calendula and chamomile petals, grape, poppy and ground apricot seeds, orange, grapefruit and lime peel for a gentle cleansing exfoliation; we also add kelp power, spirulina, and clays that draw out impirities, detoxify and re-mineralize skin. And of course, pure clean water.

We make use of the sparkling clean (filtered and purified) spring water from Willame Creek located in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest in Packwood, Washington to enhence the freshness and gentleness of our soaps and bath products.
Although our company resides in Rochester, Washington, we got our name by using the fresh clean water from Willame Creek. We are proud to use pure uncontaminated natural clean spring water with no harsh chemicals or additives. No chlorine, no water treatment chemicals. Just pure, fresh, clean water. Along with the other natural ingredients, our finished products are superior to any commercial grade products you see in stores today.
